We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a food and beverage/client services coordinator.  This is a permanent full time position working 08:00am to 04:30pm Monday to Friday.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to excel in providing exceptional food service for all client and internal functions while being part of our collaborative and supportive work environment.  We are dedicated to creating a work environment that prioritises work life balance, fosters career development, and enables you to perform at your best and be rewarded for the incredible work that you do each day.

The role

This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same.  As the food and beverage/client services coordinator, you'll be responsible for a range of hands on tasks including preparing food for meetings and functions, such as sandwich making, canapé preparation, and baking.  You will also assist the client experience team in the delivery and clearing of food to and from meeting rooms and events and maintain a seamless beverage service between the kitchen and front of house teams.

Other responsibilities include maintenance of coffee machines, kitchen cleanliness, restocking of supplies, managing the food and beverage budget, required records management and administration, ordering and invoicing.

This role is also the back up to the caterer so you will have exciting opportunities to step up to lead the food and beverage services.

What matters to us

We value people who bring a different perspective, who are passionate, curious, and innovative.  To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar food service role is required, along with the desire to step up as and when needed
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in basic administrative tasks and budget management, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • A positive 'can do' attitude where you go above and beyond the normal call of duty.

To apply

If you see yourself joining a close knit team in a professional but friendly and welcoming environment, then we encourage you to apply for this role by sending your CV and short cover letter through GradNZ or to recruitment@buddlefindlay.com.

We look forward to you joining our team and being part of our success.

Together we grow, Ka tipu tahi tatau.
